Route Summary
This is a moderate hill and forest walk in a very scenic area popular with mountain bike enthusiasts. The route takes in an ancient stone circle, some very fine views, near and far, and an unusually large boulder left over from the last Ice Age.

(043) Monymusk-River Don-Clyan’s Dam Circular (Aberdeenshire)

Route Summary
A short and easy walk in pleasant rural surroundings and on established paths from the eye-catching little village of Monymusk. There is negligible overall ascent over the varied circuit taking in mature woods, a riverside track, and a delightful little loch.

(035) Pitfichie-River Don Woodlands Circular (Aberdeenshire)

Route Summary
*** This walk is currently not advised. The route is extensively blocked by fallen trees between Waypoints 1 and 2, and Waypoints 7 and 8. ***

A mostly easy ramble in the very scenic valley of the River Don, south of the Bennachie range of hills. There is a short section in Craigton Wood where the path is a little overgrown. Paradise Wood is an historic designed landscape, notable for the size and variety of conifers.

(013) Pitfichie-Whitehill Stone Circle-Green Hill (Aberdeenshire)

Route Summary
One of our longer walks at nearly 10 km, with a fairly strenuous 350 m overall ascent. Mainly a forest walk with a mid-section amongst heather moorland on the Green Hill. Interesting historical aspects and marvellous views from the summit and at other points during the route.
