(086) Fyvie-Den Wood Circular (Aberdeenshire)

Route Summary
This is an energetic walk in a variety of woodland habitats in the Den of Rothie, at Fyvie, in rural Aberdeenshire. It is fairly long at over 8km, with an appreciable overall ascent of over 200m. In season, there are numerous opportunities to identify fungi along the way.

(059) Woodhead-Windy Hills Circular (Aberdeenshire)

Route Summary
This is an excellent short walk through very pleasant and quiet natural woodland. There are no steep slopes, making for easy walking. The area is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to the underlying quartzite gravels from an ancient river-bed.

(029) Fyvie Castle-Fyvie Loch-Fyvie Kirk Circular (Aberdeenshire)

Route Summary
An easy but very enjoyable walk with negligible overall ascent. The focal point is the visually impressive and intact baronial castle, although the landscaped grounds and lake, with walled garden come a close second. The visit to the Old Kirk of Fyvie is interesting.
