Route Summary
An energetic upland walk on grassy woodland paths and open moorland with a reasonably demanding overall ascent of 300 m. There are wide-ranging views from the summit of Black Hill, at the quieter, less-visited western end of the Bennachie range.

(067) Hill of Tillymorgan (Aberdeenshire)

Route Summary
A relatively short hill walk over varied terrain with a mostly gradual ascent. There are excellent views at many points on the route. The modern wind turbines and old abandoned slate quarries that surround the summit each provide interest and spectacle in their different ways.

(049) Insch-Hills of Christ’s Kirk and Flinder Circuit (Aberdeenshire)

Route Summary
Walking through farmland, broadleaf and conifer woods, with a moderately taxing overall ascent of 300 m, to reach two fine open summits with tremendous 360° views of the surrounding rural scene, taking in a patchwork of farm fields, areas of forest, and low hills on all sides.

(016) Hill of Dunnideer Circular (Aberdeenshire)

Route Summary
An easy walk-in to the Hill of Dunnideer, avoiding a steep ascent. Views of the hill dominate the route from areas of natural woodland and farmland. The stone circle on the hill-side, and ruined castle at the summit are impressive. From the top there are marvellous open views.
