Route Summary
This is an undemanding walk that rewards with a visit to the beautiful waterfall in a wooded glade on the Water of Dess. The walk environment, from an historic Deeside village, mixes open farmland with mature pine forest. There are good views over Strathdee towards Banchory.

(050) Balmedie Country Park-Blairton Burn Circuit (Aberdeenshire)

Route Summary
A short but enjoyable coastal walk through a special sand dunes system and on a wide sandy beach. There are good views of the recently constructed Menie golf course and the Aberdeen wind farm turbines, just offshore. The beach section can be extended in either direction.

(049) Insch-Hills of Christ’s Kirk and Flinder Circuit (Aberdeenshire)

Route Summary
Walking through farmland, broadleaf and conifer woods, with a moderately taxing overall ascent of 300 m, to reach two fine open summits with tremendous 360° views of the surrounding rural scene, taking in a patchwork of farm fields, areas of forest, and low hills on all sides.

(048) Banff Harbour-Whitehills Circuit (Aberdeenshire)

Route Summary
A good shoreline walk taking in an old golf links and fine beach, and eye-catching old harbours at both Banff and Whitehills. There are some wonderful coastal views to enjoy along the wide sweep of Boyndie Bay, and from higher viewpoints on the route at Whitehills and Banff.

(047) Back o’Bennachie-Oxen Craig-Watch Craig Circular (Aberdeenshire)

Route Summary
The first half of this walk involves an unrelenting ascent on well-maintained paths though pine forest and then heather moorland to the peak of Oxen Craig. The traverse to Watch Craig and return leg, in the lee of Hummell Craig, are on less well-known paths. Great hilltop views.
