(003) Edzell-Rocks of Solitude Return (Angus/Aberdeenshire)

Route Summary
A fairly long riverside walk, mostly in mature broadleaf woodland. Steep-sided cliffs are a common feature, especially in the Rocks of Solitude section. Throughout, the river alternates between surging rapids, deep pools and wide shallows, making for a very scenic experience.

(002) Fettercairn-Fasque Estate Circular (Aberdeenshire)

Route Summary
A short walk with minimal overall ascent in a very pleasing rural environment. Key features include: the pretty village of Fettercairn, its well-known distillery, a beautiful loch, and the baronial mansion of Fasque House. Fettercairn House, too, is glimpsed through the trees.

(001) Stonehaven-Dunnottar Castle Circular (Aberdeenshire)

Route Summary
An easy but hugely satisfying walk through a variety of environments – harbour, old town, woodland, farmland, and coastal. Points of interest along the way include the old harbour, an architectural folly, a historic cliff-top castle, and unusual and striking war memorial.
